Lichens (Textile Art)

Fancifully designated as Lichens, Gundi has created a new, rapidly evolving series of works. Made with colourful textiles, they utilize an artistic technique of advanced chenilling. Fabric is meticulously layered, stitched together, then slashed through the top layers, leaving the bottom layer intact. The finished vibrant circles and squares are then sewn onto fabric background and mounted for wall hanging. Each finished piece is a true one of a kind.
